1.1 To assign the work to various workers on a line for packaging.

SCOPE

2.1 The scope of this SOP applies to assign work to various workers on a packing line in packaging section of production department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

3.1 It is the responsibility of packing line Supervisor (packaging) to follow this SOP as it is written.

3.2 It is the responsibility of Production Pharmacist (packaging) to ensure that this SOP is followed as it is written.

3.3 It is the responsibility of Production Manager, to ensure that this SOP is followed in its entirety, reviewed and update as necessary.

PROCEDURES

6.1 Supervising

6.1.1 Supervisor assign work to his/her workers.

6.1.2 He/she enter names of workers, working on his/her packing line on team layout sheet present in BPR

6.1.3 He /she supervise that packing is carried out in accordance with GMP rules.

6.1.4 He /she check and ensure that every worker is working efficiently and responsibly.

6.1.5 Ensure the presence of packing material for persistent working.

6.1.6 Calculate total production at the end of every working day.

6.1.7 Calculate total working hours at the end of every packing session.

6.1.8 Write and paste identification labels on finished goods and transfer finished goods to relevant F.G or P.S store.

6.1.9 In case of any problem consult to production (packaging) department.

6.2 Sorting

6.2.1 Blisters and strip packs are sorted for number of tablets, batch stamp and misprinting.

6.2.2 Labels and cartons are sorted for batch stamp, misprinting and physical standards.

6.3 Bundling

6.3.1 Packs of tablets, capsules are bundled and check for batch stamp.

6.4 Shipper packer

6.4.1 Make weight paper of relevant product as prescribed in BPR.

6.4.2 Weight bundles in accordance with weight paper.

6.4.3 Arrange bundles in relevant product shipper, in accordance with currently prescribed pack list.
